I've been doing Artslam again this year! So far it is shaping up pretty well. Last month I challenged myself to do not only fan art (which I never do), but also finished pictures, so I might be uploading some of the nicer ones. I'll probably put a few into scraps, as well. This month is a lot of concept sketches so it is a lot less interesting to, well, anyone but me, I guess. I haven't done much with Lem and Gar as characters except for the odd picture though, so it feels kinda good to rock out with weird stuff like schematics for their spaceship, haha. Ho, time to move that old journal off the page! You may have noticed I have been doing some different, more painterly color lately. I hope to keep that up so I can actually get good at something! Painting is hard, guys, even digitally. And it's definitely an exercise in patience and practice. But I think I can do it! Right now I am focusing on using brighter colors and more contrast, so I'm just coloring some older lineart I had laying around as practice. I may also throw up some sketches just for kicks, if people like sketches.

Well, I'm not putting a lot of my drawings from artslam up here, but I figured I might as well upload the comics since I spent so much freakin' time on it. What a pain! At least it's done now. Mostly I just wanted to actually finish something, so I made a panel template and kept it to 6 pages. Otherwise it would have gone on way too long! But it was fun to draw action for a change, and of course I love my cannibal ninjas so it was good to work on them, too. Yeah that's about it! I love doing comics, I just lack ideas good enough to follow through.
